BTM Layout — officially Byrasandra, Tavarekere, and Madivala, but universally known by its acronym — is one of South Bangalore's most densely populated and commercially vibrant areas. Its strategic position between Koramangala, JP Nagar, and Bannerghatta Road makes it a magnet for students attending nearby colleges, professionals working in tech parks and startups, and small business owners who operate the area's countless eateries, provision stores, and photocopy shops.

The housing stock is as diverse as its population: multi‑storey independent buildings converted into paying guest accommodations, older 2BHKs shared by three or four flatmates, and a few quiet apartment blocks near BTM Lake.
